Guiding Patients and Providers through the Expanding World of Personalized, Knowledge-Driven Health Care
Extending the Reach of Providers
Helping Patients Connect
Building Global Alliances
The goal of First Medicine is to increase the access individuals have to healthcare resources and knowledge through the most effective use of information technologies and communication. Our company is the result of more than a decades development by our founders, with our seeds coming from the first 2nd opinion service launched between the US and the Middle East in the 1990s and the first major IPO in the world in Telemedicine in 2006. First Medicine maintains operations in the United States and Asia, and through a primary development center in Hyderabad and marketing offices in Beirut, Lebanon and New York City.
The rise of the computers and data sharing through networks is disrupting industry in ways that were not imagined 50 years ago. Medicine has been largely immune to these changes, with the rise of Electronic Medical Records and even Telemedicine largely not meeting the simple needs of individuals to stay healthy.
We believe this is about to change.
Our first medicine team and partners represent innovators in the fields of medicine and technology focused on driving new ways to access health through on-the-ground alliances in markets that span the Middle East through Asia and the Americas.
Virtual Health Solutions
Whether in the form of a traditional telemedicine station or the use of online chronic disease management solutions, our virtual health offerings bridge the gap between an individual and their provider’s knowledge. The First Medicine Virtual Suite is designed with a secure video communication network for remote access for physicians and FDA approved diagnostic tools that provides access to local and international physicians.
The SyntraNet Software as a Service of the Thrasys Corporation (USA/California) is the world’s most comprehensive solution for building online, collaborative communities in healthcare. Our relationship with Thrasys allows us to bring this power technology into your community to define a new form of connected health that removes the distance of separate EMRs and clinical information systems.
The Internet has introduced a variety of alternatives to the old phone call and letter, whether in the form of Skype or WhatsApp, these new communication programs are taking advantage of the immense power of networks to instantly connect – and establish a personal linkage with another individual or group. Our messaging app offers secure and private communications between providers and patients and includes secure storage and access to Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
